ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION

Spaniel Radios

Whether it’s a Field Trial or a Hunt Test, you need to know what’s going on in the field. Almost all events use walkie talkies to communicate information from the event chairman or the field marshal.
Radios have been used for a long time. Check out this article about the beginning use of FT radios. http://spanieljournal.com/2wfawcett.html

So Motorolas have been the standard for many years. Recently a few other brands have seen a lot of popularity.
One lady on Facebook sells radios already preprogrammed. Check her out at: Roxanne Fegley. Mic'd Hup Trial Radios

The newest radio to hit the circuit with lots of good reviews is a Baofeng: Baofeng Model UV-5R V2. I found several listing on eBay. Several colors. Longer antennas. Waterproof cover.
BE SURE the radio you purchase is capable of transmitting on VHF frequency 154.570 -- the blue dot channel. So get yourself a radio and listen to what is going on during the events
