WELCOME STATEMENT

Dear Fellow Trialers,

The Green Valley Spaniel Club cordially invites you to our annual AKC licensed spring field trial to be held on March 19th and 20th. This will be the 66th year for the Green Valley trial and we all hope you can join us for the festivities.
We are happy to host two Cocker Open stakes this year.

The trial will be held at Raahauges Pheasant Club near Dunnigan, CA. The hotel headquarters for the event will be at Granzella’s Inn in Williams. Please make reservations one week or more in advance. Mention Green Valley Spaniel Club for a special rate. Other hotels in the area are listed in the premium. Please note the hotel is located off Interstate #5 in Williams, Calif., which is approximately 25 miles from Raahauges Pheasant Club.

Be advised lunches WILL be available on the grounds for a nominal fee.

Awards for the Open Cocker stakes will be presented on the grounds . At the same time our annual fundraising raffle with a 50/50 card drawing will take place, both have proven to be fun.

Emergency contacts as per AKC rules and regulations will be posted in the catalog as well as on the grounds. A cellular phone will be available in case of emergency.

We are pleased to have as our judges this year Jim O’Shea from Montana and Tom Meyer from Wisconsin.

Maps to grounds will be sent out with running order.

A Perpetual trophy Awarded to the High Point Open All age dog in the Western Interclub. Starting with the first trial after the Green Valley Trial and concluding with the Green Valley Trial the following year.


Archie and Alberta Whiting Memorial Trophy
A perpetual trophy awarded to the first place dog in the Amateur stake.

BLAZE ORANGE CLOTHING ABOVE THE WAIST IS REQUIRED FOR ANYONE ON THE FIELD TRIAL GROUNDS.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 3/9/2022. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES

Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com.

 

After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
