This Spaniel Hunt Test is held under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club.

Eligible Breeds for Spaniel Hunting Tests: Airedale Terriers, American Water Spaniels, Boykin Spaniels, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Clumber Spaniels, Cocker Spaniels, Curly-Coated Retrievers, English Cocker Spaniels, English Springer Spaniels,Field Spaniels, Flat-Coated Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Irish Water Spaniels, Labrador Retrievers, Nederlandse Kooikerhondje, Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Poodles - Standard and Miniature, Sussex Spaniels, and Welsh Springer Spaniels.
All dogs must be six months of age or over on the day of the Hunting Test.

Qualifying dogs will receive official AKC rosette ribbons. Title ribbons will be awarded to all dogs earning a new title.

Drawings will take place at 8:00 AM ET on 9/8/2021. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.


Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by unless Club Scratch Policy below states otherwise.
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.
Club Scratch Policy

Entry fees will be refunded in full for a bitch withdrawn because of coming in season, or for a dog withdrawn because of an injury or illness, or for a dog that has died. A veterinary certificate is required for all refunds.

No entry fee will be refunded if the test cannot be opened or completed by reason of riots, civil disturbance, an act of god, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the committee.


Prior to the close, if an AKC/Parent Club event has to cancel due to COVID, only the entry fee will be refunded.

Lunch will be provided both Saturday and Sunday. Bottled water will be available throughout the day.


McRoth Kennel, owned by Alex and Steve Roth, will host a Judge's Wine and Cheese Reception during the tabulation of the results on Saturday afternoon. All handlers, guests and volunteers are welcome.
