WELCOME STATEMENT

Welcome to the Minnesota Hunting Spaniel Association Spring Cocker Field Trial!
We would like to thank Myron Angstmen for the use of the grounds and facilities to make this an excellent event!

**If you are unable to get into a stake because it has filled we strongly encourage you to get on the waitlist! Dogs will scratch and if a stake does not fill we will use those unfilled places in another stake, as the amount of birds we have allows.

**To get on the waitlist, email akcdiv@huntsecretary.com
1. You will be invoiced by email if you get in - you will not pay up front.
2. Provide the following information:
Event Name
Your full name
Stake and Date
Dog's Call name
Handler if different

**A water test will be available, at the committee's discretion, for dogs that have completed all their points for their FC or AFC title.

To the Spectators: Ethics and good sportsmanship require the hunter dispatch the game as quickly and humanly as possible. Sportsmanship also demands the retrieval of all shot game. To that end these dogs are trained.
This field trial is a competition, and a collection of the best trained and best bred dogs in the area. This is all deeply rooted in hunting and you will see the important role a well trained and well bred dog plays in a quality and ethical hunting experience.
As live ammunition is used in a Spaniel Field Trial, it is imperative you listen to the Field Marshal's instructions! You are welcome to join the gallery. Two rules apply: You must wear an item of blaze orange, a hat at a minimum (if you don’t have orange ask someone and it will be loaned to you) and know where the line is so when you walk to the gallery you will not be interfering with the field trial. Again ask and someone will direct you.

Enjoy the field trial!
