ADDITIONAL EVENT INFORMATION

To The Gallery

Under hunting conditions, ethics and good sportsmanship require the hunter to dispatch the game as quickly and humanely as possible. Sportsmanship also demands the retrieval of all shot game. To that end these dogs are trained.

Springer field trials are a competition run under the conditions designed to simulate actual hunting conditions. You will see some of the best bred and trained Springers in North America and witness the important part these dogs play afield.

Please do not applaud. Applause or unnecessary noise may interfere with the handler and his or her dog. Please be as quiet as possible while the dogs are working, as this Field Trial awards Championship Points. Dogs not competing must positively be kept off the grounds. All dogs must be on a leash when not running in a stake. Any spectators who would like training information, or who are interested in English Springer Spaniels, we extend an invitation to discuss your questions with a Club Member. Please cooperate by staying behind the Field Marshal.

Enjoy the Field Trial

Please Remember: The AKC and MESSC require that BLAZE ORANGE clothing be worn by all people in the field.

Safety: All participants and spectators are required to wear at least one piece of blaze orange above the waist while in the field. We also strongly recommend wearing safety glasses while in the field. No smoking on the grounds. ATV use on the grounds only as approved by the FT committee.
