WELCOME STATEMENT

Welcome to the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America National Speciality Hunt Test.

There will be a limit of 60 dogs each day. All tests are open to AKC eligible breeds of Spaniels and Retrievers six months of age or older on the day of the hunt test. Since these tests are sponsored by the English Cocker Spaniel Club of America, preference will be given to English Cocker Spaniels.

The safety of our participants is important to us.

We will adhere to AKC suggestions and NC state which mandates to wear masks or appropriate face coverings when unable to maintain 6' social distance. We regret we are unable to prepare and serve lunch.

PLEASE NOTE
The AKC and the ECSCA require that all people in the field wear BLAZE ORANGE clothing. A cap by itself is not sufficient to meet this requirement.

Severe correction or discipline will not be allowed on any part of the grounds. Handlers and entered dogs are not permitted to train on the grounds. The pond, when not being used for testing, can be used to cool your dog and is always available in an emergency.

Dogs can be aired or exercised only in designated areas (areas that will not be used during the tests).

Please be thoughtful and clean up after yourself and your dogs; this includes cigarette butts and poop scoop bags. Treat the grounds with the utmost in respect.

We are also having an Working dog test for English Cocker Spaniels. Please read the additional information section for more information.

Hope to see you at the hunt tests.
