WELCOME STATEMENT

This year the club is pleased to host a one day Cocker/English Cocker Spaniel Trial in conjunction with our Fall English Springer Spaniel Trial.

We are very pleased to have Gary Davis from Oregon and Bob Davis from Washington as our judges for the Open Stake. Puppy Stake judges are Bob Willis from Oregon and Scott Mason from Washington.

IN AN EFFORT TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT FOR ALL, THE FOLLOWING COVID-19 PROTOCOLS WILL BE IN PLACE:
• Please maintain a minimum social distancing of 6’ at all times. Please wear a mask where social distancing cannot for any reason be maintained, particularly while riding in the shuttle, at the lunch serving table or in the gallery.
• The gallery participants/spectators are expected to maintain social distances and stay single file, unless you are members of the same family or are wearing a mask.
• There is no need to gather for morning meetings, announcements, call backs or award ceremonies. These will be broadcast via radio, so please keep them turned on and handy at all times.
• Please keep from congregating within close physical proximity to each other anywhere on the trial grounds or lunch serving area.
• In order to provide lunch safely, we need you to maintain space between each other while in line AND wear a mask while at the serving table. If you wish to serve yourself or need to touch any common item on the lunch table, please wear gloves which will be provided. Someone can serve for you if needed. You are requested to eat at your own vehicle, not in the lunch shelter area. We will be using HuntSecretary to collect lunch fees to minimize contact with cash.
• Extra masks, hand sanitizer and cleaning wipes will be on location. Please bring your own personal protections as well.
Please self-evaluate every morning before coming to the trial and please do not participate or show up to the trial if you have or recently have had a cough, fever or any other COVID-19 symptoms; or have been in contact with someone infected with the virus within 14 days prior to the trial.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 9/22/2020. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES
Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com unless Club Scratch Policy below states otherwise.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.

DIRECTIONS
To Grounds from I5:
In Salem take exit 253.
Head West on Mission St. (Hwy 22).
Continue west through Salem and follow the signs for Hwy 22.
Staying on Hwy 22, cross the Mission St. Bridge and continue West towards the coast.
After about 9.5 miles take exit 16 (99W).
Proceed North on Hwy 99W towards McMinnville for 2.4 miles.
Look for the NWESSC sign and turn right (east) onto Farmer Road.
Drive east .5 mile and turn right (south) at the double flags.
Proceed to the top of the hill to park. Do not park in the shed at the top of the hill as that area will serve as our headquarters. Please do not park off the roads.

To Grounds from Headquarters:
Head south on OR-99W S/Nindels
Continue approximately 15.9 miles
Look for the NWESSC sign and turn left (east) onto Farmer Road.
Drive east .5 mile and turn right (south) at the double flags.

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
