OPEN TO ENGLISH SPRINGER SPANIELS
This Spaniel Field Trial is held under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club.

PLEASE NOTE: As of today, April 13, we are still planning to have our trial. However, we can not make a definite decision until April 24th when Gov. Evers' executive order expires.
At that time, we will have more information to determine whether or not our club will be able to host these trials.

If we are able to have the trial, we will open it to start to accept entries the morning of April 25th.

WELCOME STATEMENT

Dear Fellow Trialers:
Central Wisconsin Sporting Spaniel Club (CWSSC) will host a Spring Field Trial Friday May 1, 2020 and May 2, 2020 in New Glarus, WI on the Oasis Game Farm property N9074 Cty Rd J, New Glarus, WI.
The OPEN all-age stake will begin on Friday May 1 at 8:00 am and run until conclusion and the AMATEUR All-age Stake will start no earlier than 8:00 am on Saturday May 2 and run until conclusion. The PUPPY Stake will start after the 2nd series of the Open Stake on Friday May 1 but not before noon. CHUKARS will be used for both All-Age Stakes and the Puppy Stake.

Blaze Orange must be worn by all those on the event grounds.

Standard AKC Rosettes to all placed dogs.
Trophy for 1st place in each stake.
Central Wisconsin Sporting Spaniel Club's Perpetual Trophy. In recognition of Ron and Carol Baldwin's involvement in getting the club started. Awarded to the winner of the Amateur All-Age Stake with no permanent possession. Engraving of plaques at the expense of the owner. The Trophy will remain in the possession of the owner until the club's next trial. A smaller trophy will be awarded for permanent possession.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 4/28/2020. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES
Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com unless Club Scratch Policy below states otherwise.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.
 
Club Scratch Policy

Money will be refunded if a dog is wounded or dies, or for any female in season at time of Field Trial. Other refunds are at the discretion of the Field Trial Committee.

Any scratches after closing date are handled directly with the club.

If you scratch before closing your refund can be handled via credit card directly with Hunt Secretary and the appropriate fees applied per entry. If you do not want to process the scratch via a credit card, the club will handle refunds at the conclusion of the trial.

(County Road J is very twisty, so use Route 69 North to New Glarus. Should take about 30 - 35 minutes via Rt 69. Otherwise, using County Road J out of Monroe, should take about 20 –25 minutes. )

Follow signs for 69N from Hotel. Take exit for WI-69N Monticello/New Glarus. Go approx. 15 miles to New Glarus and turn Left onto WI-39. Stay left on WI-39, go about 6 miles and turn RIGHT on CR-J(north) Grounds approx. 1 mile on LEFT.

I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
