WELCOME STATEMENT

Welcome to the 2020 Central Maine Spaniel Club Springer field trial. This is an inaugural spring trial using new grounds in North Carolina. The trial will be run in southern plantation style open woodland with moderate to thick cover. The average mean daytime temperature at this time of year is a high of 56F and low of 43F.

The CMSC field trial committee would like to thank all of you for coming. In the spirit of the event, please remember that we are all Sportsmen & Sportswomen here to promote the English Springer Spaniel breed. As such, we expect that everyone will act in accordance with the AKC Code of Sportsmanship adopted by the Board of Directors and issued in February 2006.
This field trial is held under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club. A few reminders:
1. The AKC and MSFTC require that an article of Blaze Orange clothing be worn above the waist by all those in the field.
2. Severe correcting or disciplining of any dog will not be allowed on the grounds.
3. Dogs not competing in the trial should not be in the gallery or on the course while the trial is being conducted.
We hope to provide a fun and safe experience for all. Best of luck to all the dogs and their handlers!!
