WELCOME STATEMENT

The Volunteer English Springer Spaniel club would like to welcome you to LaGrange, Tennessee. We are pleased to host the annual Hall of Fame trial! It is our hope that you will enjoy a competitive trial with superior grounds, excellent guns, and fair judges. We look forward to seeing all those returning who have supported our trial in the past, and look forward to having new faces join us this year. Don't forget to check out the National Bird Dog Museum in nearby Grand Junction, TN while you are here!

As always, we thank the landowners for letting us use their property. We also thank all those who volunteer their time and efforts to make this trial run smoothly. But most of all, we thank the handlers, pro and amateur, who make it a huge success. We love watching your amaing dogs do what they do!

Standard AKC Rosettes to all placing dogs
Trophy for permanent possession to winner of each Stake
The Cowan Cup to be awarded to the 1st place dog in the Open Stake.
The Salmy Zorro Memorial Trophy to be awarded to the 1st place dog in the Amateur Stake.
The Jason Green Memorial Trophy to be awarded to the 1st place dog in the Puppy Stake.
The Jim Cowan Memorial Trophy to be awarded by the Guns.
These trophies will remain on display at the Bird Dog Hall of Fame for all bird dog enthusiasts to admire.

DRAWINGS/RUNNING ORDER

Drawings will take place at Huntsecretary.com 8:00 AM ET on 1/28/2020. The Running Order will be electronically randomized and adjusted slightly to accommodate handlers running multiple dogs.

 

SCRATCHES
Scratches prior to closing date will be refunded by HuntSecretary.com unless Club Scratch Policy below states otherwise.
 
After the closing date, all scratches will be handled based on the Club Scratch Policy specified below.
 
Club Scratch Policy

Refunds for scratches will only be allowed for females in season. If an injury or illness occurs to a dog during the trial, a veterinarian's certificate must be presented to the field trial committee for their discretion before a refund will be even be considered.

COVID EVENT CANCELLATION POLICY

Prior to the close, if an AKC/Parent Club event has to cancel due to COVID, only the entry fee will be refunded.

The main grounds are located in Grand Junction, TN. The Bird Dog Museum is located at 505 Hwy 57 in Grand Junction. Go east and turn north onto Tippah Street (right by the Junction Inn). Turn right onto Old Grand Junction Rd and follow the flags.

From Memphis/Collierville: Follow Hwy 57 to LaGrange TN. When it deadends into Hwy 18, turn left. Then there is an almost immediate right back onto Hwy 57 (Bank of Fayette County is located at this intersection). Head east past the Bird Dog Museum and turn left onto Tippah St, then right on Old Grand Junction Rd. There will be flags and directional signs to lead you to the grounds.

The map that is attached will give you an idea of the location. Sorry there is no gps direction, but this is a rural area.

In consideration of the acceptance of this entry, I (we) agree to abide by the rules and regulations of The American Kennel Club in effect at the time of this event, and any additional rules and regulations appearing in the premium list of this event and entry form and any decision made in accord with them. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog.
